Product Description
SUGO’s ESD compounds dissipates the static electrical charges that builds up on plastic materials causing them to be functionally or aesthetically unacceptable. Surface active chemistry combined with polymer technology has led to the development of effective products for use as both internal and external antistatic agent in applications ranging from packing film, conveyor belting, flooring and consumer durables. It is also used as viscosity depressant.
GMS based antistat masterbatch of migratory nature containing effective substance in LDPE, LLDPE carrier resin. It gives a short term antistatic effect and depends on water for functioning. Hence the antistatic performance is always better at higher humidity as well as usually improves with conditioning time. It requires a very long time to diffuse out of HDPE or PP homopolymer. It tends to react with polycarbonate, which is commonly used in making electronic circuit boards. Hence a plastic packaging containing amine antistat is detrimental to electronic circuit boards. It has the FDA approval for all the levels.
