Product Description
White UPVC Compounds Used For Valve
The UPVC stands for Rigid Polyvinyl Chloride, it is in pellets.
Maybe some clients will experience some unhappy cases during production with ours
raw materials.
Let me clarify, it is very common, friends!
All the plastics pellets made by our company Sugo ESD Plastics are modified, not like
the regular resins, which can be processed at a standard temperature and pressure according to Technical Date Sheet.
The modified plastics are made by common resins blending a lot of different kinds of
additives, there will be some changes on its physical properties in order to get the
function of ESD Protection or
other functions.
Here is an actual story of one of my clients from Europe, what he bought was UPVC
pellets used for valves. Last week, he told me that the first vales was OK to be injected,
but later they started to burn,
it seemed the materials didn’t have thermal stability at 170°C to 180°C.
I realized it at once that he have the working temperature at 170°C to 180°C at the
begging.
The correct way is to start with a working temperature of 150°C, and adjust it slowly,
then increase 5°C by 5°C up to 170°C, but have to stop increase it until UPVC pellets
are fully melted.
So that is to say, the working temperature may lower than 170°C, production can be
went ahead at any temperature as long as materials can be fully melted.
And then he needs to adjust the mold pressure at the same time.
Today he was pretty happy and told me he was succeed to run mass production following
the above suggestion.
