Antistatic Masterbatches are for commodity plastics. Commodity plastics by nature possess an electrical insulating property which gives them the potential to built-up high static charge on their surfaces due to friction caused by dry air moving over them or movement against other the surfaces.Antistatic master batch are used widely to reduce the static electricity problems. These are based on oleo chemical / amine derivatives.
Antistatic master batches for electronic applications :
The use of anti-static agents in polymer components of electronic applications plays a pivotal role, as static charges can result in electronic discharge e.g., when films come in contact with sensitive electronic equipment during packing or when electronic components stored in plastic bin for longer period can damage the components.
